ARTIST BIO

As a mixed media abstract artist based in Australia, my work is deeply inspired by the beauty, resilience, and complexity of Australian native plants. With a strong focus on environmental art, I create contemporary pieces that reflect a deep respect for nature and a desire to restore what the modern human footprint has damaged. This philosophy is woven through both my art practice and my hands-on volunteer work at a local Indigenous nursery, as well as my own rewilded bush garden.

My practice spans watercolour, collage, paper sculpture, and kinetic art, often blending organic and geometric forms. I’m continually fascinated by the intricate patterns and structures found in the natural world. My current series explores native flora in their wild, untamed environments, capturing abstract interpretations of their shapes, textures, and movements.

Though I began with traditional techniques, I quickly gravitated toward experimentation—challenging conventions and exploring the dynamic interplay between natural and human-made landscapes. My mixed media process reflects the philosophy of garden rewilding: fluid watercolour layers contrast with sharp, intentional collage elements, echoing the tension and harmony between chaos and control.

I also create sculptural and kinetic pieces from hand-painted, sealed watercolour paper—designed to bring movement and dimensionality to the textures of the Australian bush.
