Winner of the 2021 Waverly Woollahra 9x5 Landscape Prize, and the 2018 Works on Paper prize in the MAP, Nexus Gallery, Bellingen, Bronwyn Rodden grew up in Sydney but has also lived in regional NSW and travelled widely. Her work was Highly Commended at the Pyrmont Art Prize and GOYA, and she was a finalist in the Moreton Bay Art Prize, the Earth Prize, Urunga Small Sculptures and the Flannery Art Prize. She has exhibited in group shows in various venues in Sydney, and has held solo exhibitions in Sydney and Bellingen. With a deep interest in landscape and the environment, she moved from Sydney to the Mid North Coast in 2010 to further develop her artistic practice and now works in handmade inks and found objects, working towards a more sustainable art practice while celebrating the natural world. She has also completed commissions for the Solitary Islands Marine Park Authority and the Coffs Harbour Regional Museum. |
