ARTIST NOTES: As a digital photographic artist, I take pictures many times a day: of the natural world around me, of the beauty in the things that are glowingly alive and those that are not -- what I call “detritus”. Learning to look at detritus as something pulsing with beauty and visceral meaning has taught me many things--about ways of looking and seeing that have evolved into a kind of visual philosophy.
